Encouraged from an early age in a family
of artists, I see the world through an artist’s eyes. Taking inspiration from the master Impressionists, I am drawn to nature’s beauty. Whether painting on location or in my studio,
I combine a painterly technique and glowing colors to capture the effects of light on the subject to create a mood. I want my paintings
to give a sense of well-being and an uplifting feeling to the viewer.

Born in St. Louis, Missouri into a family of artists and having three generations
of linseed oil and turpentine flowing through my veins, I inherited a passion for painting. After completing my studies with Art Instruction School of Minneapolis,
I gained valuable art experience in commercial art studios and advertising agencies. In 1963 I married Gordon, a fellow artist and kindred spirit. Since then we have operated a successful freelance illustration business from our home studio. Retaining a love of fine art, I’ve entered local and national juried exhibitions and received awards and recognition. In 1998 we moved to Bokeelia on Florida’s sunny, tropical Pine Island. I paint and teach oil, acrylic, and watercolor at art associations and my home studio. My paintings have been shown in St. Louis and Florida galleries and hang in private collections in Missouri, California, Ohio and Florida.
